PKI Hub supports a disaster recovery model in which two PKI Hub clusters are deployed in an active/passive warm standby model across two independent data centers. Each data center hosts an identical cluster. One data center operates in active mode and receives production traffic through the load balancer. The second cluster is maintained in warm standby, with all software installed and configuration pre-applied, but with application services stopped.
This approach minimizes recovery time while ensuring configuration consistency and operational readiness.

See below for details on deploying the PKI services in this architecture.
- Active-Warm Standby architecture components
- Installing PKI Hub on PKI Hub cluster 1
- Installing PKI Hub on PKI Hub cluster 2
- Installing the stop services script
- Restoring the active cluster configuration on the passive one
- Recovering services in an Active-Warm Standby architecture
- Returning to the original active data center after an incomplete recovery
