After installing the server certificate into Active Directory, test that LDAPS was enabled.

To verify LDAPS in Active Directory

1. Start the Active Directory Administration Tool (Ldp.exe):

   1. Select Start > Windows System > Run.
   2. Enter ldp.exe.

2. Select Connection > Connect.
   The Connect dialog box appears.

3. In the Server field, enter the domain controller to which you want to connect.

4. In the Port field, enter 636.

5. Click OK.
