Adding a softcard enables PKCS#11 clients to log in to a PKCS#11 slot and access cryptographic objects in the Vault.

To add a Softcard

1. Log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault web GUI.
2. From the left menu, select HSM.
3. Click + Add Softcard on the HSM page.
4. Complete the following fields on the Add Softcard page.
   1. Label: Enter a label for the softcard.
   2. Password: Enter a password for the softcard.
   3. Re-Enter Password: Re-enter the password.
5. Click Save. The softcard you created appears under the SOFTCARDS section on the HSM page.
