Use the PASM CLI login command to log into your Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets. The login will expire in 30 minutes. You must have the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets CA Certificate before you begin. For more information, see Download the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault CA Certificate.
Syntax
pasmcli login [options]
Option | Description |
-h or --help | Displays usage text. |
-C or --cacert string | The path to the KeyControl CA Certificate file that you downloaded, for example, cacert.pem. This is used to verify the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets server. Strings must be enclosed in double quotes. If you have not yet downloaded the certificate, see Download the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault CA Certificate. |
-l or --login-URL string | The API login URL for the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for Secrets. |
-p or --password string | Login password. You will be prompted to enter if not provided. Strings must be enclosed in double quotes. |
-u or --username string | Login username. You will be prompted to enter if not provided. Strings must be enclosed in double quotes. |
Example:
./pasmcli login -C "<CA-certificate-path>" -l <API-login-URL> -u "<user-login>"
./pasmcli login -C "/home/kc-cert/230907081009_cacert.pem" -l https://10.1.1.1/vault/1.0/Login/9283f901-fc73-4765-ac32-98d082d786dc/ -u "user@mycompany.com"
You will be prompted to enter the password. After entering the correct credentials, the command will completed with the following success message: Login is successful.
