If you want to remove a NIC that you have previously configured, you should use the Entrust Cryptographic Security Platform Vault System Console to disable that NIC in Cryptographic Security Platform Vault before you remove it from the VM.
In addition, if this node is part of a cluster we recommend that you remove it from the cluster before you remove the NIC. You can then re-join it with the cluster after the network configuration is complete.
Warning: This option is not reversible and it requires the node to reboot.
Log in as
htadminon the VM whose NIC you want to remove.Cryptographic Security Platform Vault displays the Entrust Cryptographic Security Platform Vault System Console TUI (Text-based User Interface).
- Select Manage Network Settings.
- Select Disable Network Configuration.
Select the interface you want to disable.
Note: You cannot disable the management interface, so Cryptographic Security Platform Vault does not show that interface in the list.
- Confirm at the prompt.
- Press Enter to reboot the node.
- If desired, select Shutdown System and then use your hypervisor to remove the NIC from the VM.
