This page lets you decommission a Cryptographic Security Platform Vault node. When you decommission the node, Cryptographic Security Platform Vault zeroizes its disks and shuts down the node. If you want to decommission all nodes in a cluster, please decommission each node individually.

Warning: This is an irreversible procedure that could result in data loss if this is the only Cryptographic Security Platform Vault node in your system. If it is, make sure you have decrypted all disks registered with Cryptographic Security Platform Vault before you decommission the node or you will be unable to access the encrypted data after Cryptographic Security Platform Vault destroys the encryption keys.

For details, see Decommissioning a CSP Vault Node.

If you want to decommission a VM, see Decommissioning and Destroying a VM.
