Importing a CBOM file adds cryptographic inventory from external tools to the Compliance Manager inventory.

1. Log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Compliance Manager as a tenant administrator.
2. From the left menu, select Data Sources. The Data Sources page appears.
3. From the Actions dropdown list, select Import CBOM File. The Import CBOM File page appears.
4. Complete the following fields:
   1. Data Source: From the dropdown list, select Create new data source.
      

      If you have created a data source for CBOM before, select that data source or you can create a new data source.

      
      
   2. Name: Enter a name for the data source.
5. Click Browse Files to select the required CBOM file in JSON or XML format.
6. Click Import. The CBOM data source appears under the Data Sources table and the system starts importing the CBOM file. 

Import considerations

• Only valid CycloneDX CBOM files in JSON or XML format can be imported.

• If the uploaded file is invalid, the import fails and no assets are imported.

• Reimporting a CBOM file updates existing assets rather than creating duplicates.
