You can view risk information for both data sources and individual cryptographic assets. Use this information to understand the factors contributing to an asset's risk assessment and identify the conditions contributing most significantly to risk.

Viewing risk for a data source

Each data source displays:

  • A risk gauge representing the overall risk balance of the data source.
  • A breakdown showing the number of assets at each overall risk level.

The data source risk score is derived from the risk of the assets it contains and provides a summary view of the overall risk posture of the data source.

Review the risk gauge and risk-level counts together. A data source can appear generally healthy while still containing a small number of Critical assets that require immediate attention.

Viewing risk for a cryptographic asset

View the risk details for an individual asset to understand why Compliance Manager assigned its Compromise and Impact scores.

The asset details page displays:

  • The asset's Compromise score and risk band.
  • The asset's Impact score and risk band.
  • The factors contributing to each score.
  • The value detected for each factor.
  • The points contributed by each factor.
  • An explanation of how each factor affects the asset's risk.

Use this information to understand whether an asset's risk is driven by security issues, dependencies, organizational importance, or a combination of factors.
